MCF Core Beliefs

1. The Nature of God
We believe in ONE sovereign God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19). He is the Creator of all things and is holy, just, and unchanging.

(Genesis 1:1–2, Isaiah 45:5, Malachi 3:6, John 10:30, 2 Corinthians 13:14, Revelation 4:11)

2. The Person and Work of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, was crucified, died, and rose bodily from the grave by God the Father. He now sits at the right hand of the Father and will return to judge the living and the dead (John 1:1, Hebrews 1:3, Acts 1:11).

(Romans 1:4, Philippians 2:5–11, Colossians 1:15–20, Hebrews 2:14–18, Revelation 1:17–18, 1 John 4:9–10)

3. The Authority of Scripture
The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and infallible Word of God. It is the final and sufficient authority in all matters of doctrine, conduct, and truth (2 Timothy 3:16-17, Psalm 119:160).

(Proverbs 30:5, Isaiah 40:8, Jeremiah 23:29, Luke 24:27, John 17:17, 1 Peter 1:24–25)

4. Salvation by Grace Through Faith
Salvation is a gift of God's grace, received through faith in Jesus Christ alone. It is not earned by human effort, merit, or religious works (Ephesians 2:8-9, Titus 3:5).

(John 1:12–13, John 6:29, Acts 16:31, Romans 3:23–28, Romans 5:1, Galatians 2:16)

5. The Exclusivity of Christ
Jesus Christ is the only mediator between God and man. There is no salvation apart from personal faith in Him (John 14:6, Acts 4:12, 1 Timothy 2:5).

(Matthew 7:13–14, John 8:24, 1 John 5:12, 2 John 1:9, Hebrews 10:19–22, Galatians 1:8–9)

6. The Indwelling and Work of the Holy Spirit
The Holy Spirit indwells every believer at the moment of salvation as promised by Jesus; sanctifying, empowering, and guiding us into truth and godliness (Acts 1 and 2, Romans 8:9, Galatians 5:22-23).

(Ezekiel 36:26–27, Romans 15:13, 1 Corinthians 2:10–12, 1 John 2:27, 2 Timothy 1:14)

7. Biblical Manhood and Leadership
We believe that God calls men to lead in the home, church, and community with responsibility, humility, and spiritual maturity. This includes the roles of husband, father, and servant-leader (Ephesians 5:23, 1 Timothy 3:1-7, Joshua 24:15).

(Genesis 2:15, Psalm 112:1–2, 1 Corinthians 16:13, 1 Peter 3:7, Colossians 3:19, Titus 2:2)

8. The Nature of the Church
The universal Church is composed of all true believers in Jesus Christ. While MCF is not a local church, we function in cooperation with the body of Christ for the purpose of discipleship, fellowship, and spiritual development (Colossians 1:18, 1 Corinthians 12:12-27).

(Acts 2:44–47, Romans 12:4–5, Ephesians 2:19–22, Hebrews 10:24–25, John 13:34–35)

9. Eternal Destiny and Final Judgment
We affirm the reality of one heaven where God reigns eternally, and one final judgment where each person will give an account before Christ. We reject any doctrines of multiple levels of heaven or alternate post-mortem destinies taught outside the authority of Scripture (Hebrews 9:27, Revelation 20:11-15).

(Daniel 12:2, Luke 16:22–26, John 5:28–29, Matthew 13:41–43, Revelation 21:1–8)

10. Fellowship and Discipleship
Following the model of Acts 2:42, we are committed to the apostles’ teaching, fellowship, the breaking of bread, and prayer. We gather regularly for the public reading of Scripture, mutual encouragement, and the development of opportunities that support family life through the leadership of husbands and fathers (Acts 2:42, 1 Thessalonians 5:11).

(Ecclesiastes 4:9–10, Philippians 2:1–2, James 5:16, Colossians 3:16, 2 Timothy 2:2, Romans 15:5–7)
